AcuTemp Thermal Systems and CSafe LLC are offering relief agencies the use of their temperature-controlled containers for shipping and storing blood, vaccines, and other temperature critical and sensitive medical supplies for the Japan relief effort, the companies reported today.

gh Package/Product Testing and Consulting Inc. reported in January that it was the first independent laboratory to be authorized by the International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) to test and certify temperature-controlled insulated shipping containers for overnight and two-day shipment.

ThermoSafe Brands is introducing its Certis line of off-the-shelf qualified shipping solutions. The line is based on a patent-pending modular platform design featuring simple, consistent packouts. It is designed to accommodate simple modifications to phase-change materials or flexible component designs for various temperature requirements, durations, or payload sizes.

The products meet the most robust ambient profiles, making them effective solutions for the pharmaceutical, Rx distribution, and clinical trials markets, the company reported in a press release.
