Engel: Affordable Care Act Will Save $200 Billion in Medicare Expenses

The Congressman states the legislation will help cut costs on expenditures such as pharmaceutical treatments and insurance costs.

Congressman Eliot Engel (D-NY-17) issued the following statement following a report released on Monday by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) stating through 2016, Medicare will save over $200 billion due to the Affordable Care Act. Medicare beneficiaries will save almost $60 billion through 2016 through lower costs.
