Shrink wrap equipment manufacturer Polypack Inc. has installed its 1000th solar panel at its Pinellas Park, FL, facility. In 2011 the company set out to power its manufacturing facility with solar power, using a system that could withstand hurricanes and high winds. At the end of November, the company celebrated the 1000th panel installed on its rooftop system with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Infusion-bottle labeling developed by Schreiner MediPharm in cooperation with Baxter Healthcare Corp. has been recognized in the 2013 TLMI Awards held by the North American Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute. Mason Wells is reporting that it has acquired Sealed Air Corp.'s rigid medical packaging business and formed the stand-alone company, Nelipak Healthcare Packaging. Nelipak will remain an independent business and not be affiliated with any other converting operations within Mason Wells’ portfolio, it was reported in a press release.
The latest addition to the Advil product line features packaging with a "premium" feel. The new fast acting Advil Film Coated Tablets with Advil Ion Core Technology are debuting in cartons provided by Clondalkin Pharma & Healthcare Guaynabo, which produced packaging with highly technical printing techniques for Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, Clondalkin reported in a press release. The cartons feature a soft-touch matte varnish, UV high gloss, foil stamping, printed foil, and embossing.
