OSO BioPharmaceuticals Manufacturing LLC is investing more than $5 million in equipment and infrastructural improvements that include a new Grade A aseptic filling suite for liquid, suspension and lyophilized products.
The rolling diaphragm pump filling suite, manufactured by Bosch, comes equipped with optional rotary piston and peristaltic pumps. It will function at 115 percent of the previous line’s capacity, increasing the speed and efficiency with which OsoBio can deliver drug products to clients.
Interphex 2012 will be held at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Center on May 1-3, 2012. Headlining this event will be a series of keynote presentations presented by leading subject matter experts.

Launched at Interpack 2011 in Dusseldorf, Excellence United is an alliance of companies comprising more than 4800 people, including an extensive international service network with 600 employees.
Pharmaceutical contract manufacturer and packager Pharma Tech Industries (PTI) has added a Ropak Stik Pak 10-up S/N 307 machine to form, crimp, fill, and seal stick packs. The machinery can produce up to 600 stick packs per minute across 10 lanes.
“Stick packs are one of the fastest-growing packaging solutions in the over-the-counter pharmaceutical market, and this new equipment allows our customers to capitalize on this,” reported Tee Noland, PTI director of business development, in a statement.
