The Healthcare Distribution Management Association (HDMA) bestowed its first Distribution Management Award to AmerisourceBergen Packaging Group (ABPG) and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals for its Toviaz Physician Sample Package Optimization project. The package was a redesigned format that enabled Pfizer to deliver the samples efficiently and to encourage patient compliance.

Carton Service-Packaging Insights is Now Pharma Packaging Solutions

Pharma Packaging Solutions, a division of Carton Service, Inc. (Norris, TN), and formerly known as Carton Service-Packaging Insights, announces its new name today. The new name is "the result of customer input and survey analysis to determine the name that best describes how the company serves the pharmaceutical industry," Pharma Packaging Solutions reports. "Hundreds of customers and field experts weighed in on the name selection for the turnkey contract and compliance packaging company, which serves branded, generic, and virtual pharmaceutical companies."

Two Drugs Use Anderson Packaging’s Intuidose Format

Anderson Packaging (Rockford, IL) has started commercial production of two brand prescription drugs in the Intuidose compliance package from the AmerisourceBergen Packaging Group. A line extension of a pain management drug is packaged in the carded blister format after the drug gained new drug application approval. The packaging supports a reverse titration regimen.

MeadWestvaco Healthcare rolls out the global launch of Med-Easy in Europe

MeadWestvaco Corp. (Glen Allen, Va.) is launching Med-Easy, the company's newest innovation in medication packaging that offers key benefits to patients, brand owners, and retailers. Med-Easy launches this September in Europe and will be available for prescription and over-the-counter applications globally.
 

Med-Easy joins MeadWestvaco Healthcare's line of pharmaceutical packaging products, which are designed to improve the consumer experience and maximize supply chain efficiencies.
