AGI-Shorewood Launches Cost-Effective Process For Applying Packaging Metallics

AGI-Shorewood announced the introduction of refleXions, its proprietary next-generation technology that gives consumer product companies unprecedented freedom to apply highly reflective packaging design elements, the company said.
 
refleXions uses patent-pending technology in an in-line process to offer a cost effective alternative to metalized polyester, metalized transfer or hot foil stamping. Reflective design elements can be efficiently and selectively applied in a single process.

Nitroglycerin Transdermal Delivery System Features Key Packaging Features

The generic pharmaceutical company Alvogen Inc. (Parsippany, N.J.) introduces the AB-1 rated Nitroglycerin Transdermal Delivery System, which is available in patient-ready, 30-count cartons and includes several key packaging features designed to improve care. Some of these features are RSS barcoding on each individual unit; the smallest available patch sizes of any generic nitroglycerin system; and hypoallergenic, transparent patches.

Körber acquires Seidenader Maschinenbau

The Hamburg-based Körber Group is buying the company Seidenader Maschinenbau GmbH (Markt Schwaben, Germany). Seidenader is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of inspection machines, software, and vision applications for pharmaceutical production. Körber AG is using this acquisition to boost its fast-growing Pharmaceutical Packaging Systems Division headed by Körber Medipak.
