Markem-Imaje Features High-Res Printer

In its latest addition for high resolution inkjet printing for direct case coding, Markem-Imaje (Keene, NH) has unveiled the 5600 High Resolution Liquid Inkjet Printer. The compactly-designed unit features liquid piezo technology using the firm’s patent-pending, glycol-ether Quick Dry ink for printing graphics, text, and bar codes.

The ink maximizes contrast, minimizes the ink deposit required, and delivers superior opacity, for printing on a wide range porous corrugate case and tray substrates in conditions from 0 to 40C, at speeds of up to 182 m/minute, the company says.
 
Efficiency features include a rigid ink management system with a large capacity self-contained cartridge designed to recover purged ink and be easily replaced during production.
