MagneMotion Offers Precision Control In Transport System

MagneMotion will introduce at Interphex the MagneMover LITE system, a transport system which employs MagneMotion’s Linear Synchronous Motor technology for the precise movement, positioning, and tracking of loads up to 2kg.
MagneMover LITE increases throughput and efficiency in applications such as pharmaceutical manufacturing, sterile/aseptic filling, lab automation, and packaging. The system offers a superior alternative to applications currently using conventional belt and chain conveyors, the company says.
The system conveys product on small pucks at speeds of up to 2 meters per second which is about 6 to 8 times faster than standard conveyors. The control system knows the position of all pucks at all times and can accurately stop any puck, anywhere on the track, and the stop locations are easily changed using a few computer keystrokes.
No additional mechanical components are required. The speed, intelligence, and accuracy of the MagneMover LITE system allows for new levels of process optimization and increased throughput, the company says.
