Doyen Medipharm Sets Up Converting Area
Published: October 20th, 2009
Doyen Medipharm has set up a dedicated converting process development area at its manufacturing site in Wymondham, UK. The area will assist transdermal and wound care manufacturers in establishing the best converting process for their product.
The area will help customers in developing a custom process before product launch, and in reevaluating the existing process for a marketed product when considering a dedicated system for up-scaling to high-volume production.
Services include materials trials and proof-of-principle testing in the development of custom machine solutions, in an area set apart from the main assembly area and guarded from the eyes of visitors.
“Our experience helps customers to optimize product features and material handling for a more efficient manufacturing process. Four side seal packaging materials trials in cooperation with film, foil, and paper suppliers have always been good practice for Doyen, and our process development support is a natural extension of this popular and proven service,” says Alastair Fleming, Doyen’s VP manufacturing operations.
