CCL Industries Partners with ACG Pharmapack

CCL Industries Inc. reports that it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with ACG Pharmapack for the United States and Canada. CCL Label is the world's largest converter of pressure-sensitive and film materials for label applications, and ACG Pharmapack is a global producer of PVC films and coated aluminum foils for pharmaceutical-grade tablet and capsule blister packaging and a provider of packaging equipment.

CCL Label will invest in its Raleigh, NC, facility in wide web slitting and state-of-the-art converting technology to make printed and slit for purpose films and foils accessible to its North American Healthcare customers alongside its label product lines, the companies reported in a press release.

Michael Franklin, CEO, ACG International, said in the release: "This is a very exciting partnership that will benefit our common customers in the pharmaceutical industry by aligning two world leaders and their product portfolios. For our pharmaceutical customers in the United States specifically, this will result in easier access to printed and unprinted films and foils for blister packaging using ACG's products with the great customer service they have come to expect from CCL Label."

Rob Ryckman, Vice President Sales & Marketing for CCL's Healthcare Solutions business, commented: "We are very pleased to add this capability to our product solutions portfolio for our Healthcare customers in North America. They will be able to rely on the same high GMP quality standards and rapid service response times for films and foils that they have become accustomed to with our label products."
