Ampac Flexibles Installs New Slitter

Ampac Flexibles (Cincinnati) is announcing the installation of a new slitter rewinder at its Minneapolis facility.
With the addition of the Titan SR8 from Bobst Group, Ampac anticipates its Minneapolis plant will significantly increase slitting speeds and produce larger roll sizes to meet the growing demands of rollstock customers.
Operating at up to 700 m per minute, the Titan SR8 features a semiautomatic unloading system, laser core positioning, and quick changeover. The machine also includes a modular format that, according to the company, facilitates future machine enhancements and upgrades to meet changing production requirements.
Ampac Flexibles is the flexible packaging division of Ampac Packaging LLC.
