Interphex Puerto Rico looks at the future of packaging inspection and the life sciences indust

 

Interphex Puerto Rico conference and exhibition, which takes place on February 1 and 2, will be collocated with Medical Device Puerto Rico and Supply Chain & Logistics Puerto Rico at the Puerto Rico Convention Center in San Juan.

This year’s event will feature two packaging sessions on February 2 that focus on technological advances that enhance or secure packaging. “X-Ray Inspection: The Future of Packaging Inspection,” presented by Miguel Castellanos, sales manager for Mettler-Toledo Safeline Inc., will explain the developments and applications of x-ray technology and how it protects consumers and can identify product damage.

Narendra Srivatsa, business development manager, brand authentication, for New Jersey Packaging, will present “Leveraging RFID, Smart Labels, and Multiple Printing Technologies for Pharmaceutical Packaging Security and Integrity.” This session will focus on the adoption and advances in security technologies for pharmaceutical packaging.

The show’s keynote presentation on February 1 will be a panel discussion involving members of FDA and the industry professionals and will focus on the current status and future directions of Puerto Rico’s life sciences industry.
