One company’s 3D computer-aided design and simulation software helps clients model products to automatically capture all design data and automate the production of a wide range of documents. These include detailed drawings, sections, orthographic views; bills of material; photorealistic renderings; animations; and fly-throughs. Companies using the company’s products to automate design, analysis, and data management include Berchtold Corp., DJO Inc., Dräger Medical; Kinematic Automation; MAKO Surgical Corp., PEAK Surgical Inc.; and Southmedic Inc. Clients can develop ergonomically friendly products that shorten medical procedures, improve outcomes, and appeal to health care professionals; predict behavior of new sophisticated new device materials, including strength, conductivity, and ability to be sterilized; ensure durability and dependability of implants; quickly obtain reference designs, including models of patients’ bones, from 3D scans; and create photorealistic images and animations for part and assemblies for marketing and educational purposes. A partnership seeks to help pharmaceutical companies meet the California market’s electronic pedigree requirements, which begin phasing in January 2015. The program is a response to the needs of manufacturers who are implementing Systech SPT as a key component of their global serialization strategies. Vantage Consulting Group (VCG) is selling, installing, and supporting Systech’s Serialization solution, enabling pharmaceutical manufacturers to efficiently address U.S. track and trace initiatives. Systech International and VCG announced the designation of VCG as a Systech Select U.S. Service Provider (SSP). As an SSP, VCG will support customers in the deployment of their serialization initiatives based on Systech products. SPT serializes products at the item, case and pallet levels. This system accurately accounts for numbers that have been assigned to packages and delivers precise serialization data to enterprise IT systems. Manufacturers can therefore maintain the data integrity required for track and trace initiatives without sacrificing line throughput. Serialized Packaging Data Management is a key component of the Acsis ProducTrak for Life Sciences solution set. This solution supports visibility and management of serialized and non-serialized products throughout a client’s internal and partner supply network, as well as compliance with electronic pedigree and regulatory initiatives by capturing and managing serialized product data on the packaging line and across the distribution network, addressing concerns of product recalls, emerging government mandates, and counterfeit products. Visibility and traceability support the need to ensure patient safety. Serialized Packaging Data Management offers bi-directional data transfer between packaging lines and ERP systems; supports flexible serialization structures to ensure compliance with serialization mandates; supports serialization repositories; ensures accuracy of packaging data; provides visibility across multiple lines and sites; uses the latest advancements in vision technology; can be implemented as a stand-alone solution, a small footprint to augment an existing line, or as part of an end-to-end serialization initiative throughout the supply chain; database agnostic; and 24/7 global customer support.
