COC Vials
A full range of transparent vials made from COC (Cyclic Olefin Copolymer) are available for medical packaging and devices. ClearVial products can be delivered irradiated to be used directly in the filling line with no need for prewashing, drying, and sterilization. The manufacturer reports that savings in terms of water and electricity can be considerable. With only half the weight of a glass vial, ClearVial can also help reduce transportation costs as well as environmental impact, the company adds. ClearVial comes in a standard range of 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 ml and is also available in an amber-dyed version for light protection. In cases where a standard format is not applicable, the company offers customized solutions as well as high flexibility with order sizes, special packing requirements, and delivery. It has nearly 50 years’ experience in the design, development, and manufacturing of specialty plastics components for the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. A shelf is provided for tray preparation and staging, and the finger-safe conveyance system makes loading trays quick, safe, and ergonomically friendly. Users will also save on material costs, as covered or sleeved trays are not required. The ECOM conveniently interfaces with the company’s TopSerter II, SideWinder, and other OEM machines. It offers a small footprint and fast, toolless changeovers. The ECOM’s construction fully supports ANSI/PMMI B155.1 safety and cGMP guidelines.
