Refreshing Science

An oval tube was devised and silk-screened for a high-tech skin care product.

World Wide Packaging LLC. (WWP) has produced a tube for barrier performance and stand-out appeal in order to meet the needs of a scientifically formulated product. The tube was developed to meet the needs of DermaSet Skin Therapy Crème, a skin care product promoted to rejuvenate, revitalize, and refresh skin, according to the company’s Web site (dermasetskin.com).

An LDPE/EVOH/LDPE oval tube was silver metallized and capped with a polypropylene cap employing a foam liner for a tightly sealed closure. The tube is 35 mm in diameter and 139 mm long and holds two ounces of product when filled.

In designing the new tube, World Wide Packaging applied “emblematic graphics serving to further enhance DermaSet’s brand appeal,” the company reported in a statement. The process utilized hot stamp registration and multi-layer silk screening graphic
capabilities.

The package was envisioned, manufactured, and launched into full production in less than four months, the company reported.

“An innovative product deserves an intriguing tube to help it stand out among competitors,” said Jim Farley, Vice President of Global Business Development at World Wide Packaging LLC, in a statement. “The tube we developed for DermaSet represents the brand’s ‘laboratory luxury’—an attractive marriage of sound science and sleek sophistication.”

World Wide Packaging LLC offers a range of packaging components, including tube packaging options, jars, compacts, and lotion bottles. Available are custom and stock molding.

In addition to its New Jersey headquarters, the company maintains sales offices in New York, California, Florida and Texas. For more information, contact World Wide Packaging LLC visit the company’s website at www.wwpinc.com.
