Almac Group Adding 348 New Jobs

The Almac Group will create 348 jobs over the next five years, after investments of more than £54 million, reports Arlene Foster, Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister in Northern Ireland. Invest Northern Ireland has offered the group £5.5m of support towards its investment, it was reported in a news release.

Contract packager Reed-Lane has increased its warehouse space by 30% at its existing 132,000-sq-ft facility in Wayne, NJ. The warehouse expansion will support an increase in overall production, expected thanks to a new bottling line.

The company can now handle more than 100 million bottles annually, it reports in a press release.

Pharma Tech Industries Expanding in Union, MO

Contract manufacturer and packager Pharma Tech Industries (PTI) will expand its production facility in Union, MO, adding about 60,000 sq ft of manufacturing space for a total of 160,000 sq ft. The new space will support production of ingestible powders and will feature a production room built to ISO Class 8/100,000 cleanroom standards, the company announced in a press release. The expansion is scheduled to be completed in March of 2014.
