Uhlmann Packaging Systems LP announced it is intensifying its custom machine outfitting services at its rebuild packaging systems center in New Jersey. The heightened focus comes during an increase in market demand for high-quality used machinery, which is seen by the pharmaceutical industry as a cost-effective means of addressing increased and/or changing customer demands and ever-evolving regulatory mandates, according to the company.
Along with showing its new Remote Assist System on a blister line, the Romaco Group will exhibit end-to-end solutions for primary packaging, secondary packaging, and tableting at the upcoming Achema 2015 June 15-19 in Germany. Additionally, the company unveiled a blister line with an integrated anti-counterfeiting system.
The company will be located in Hall 3.0 at stand B49.

Amcor Flexibles has brought its patented Amcor Opening Feature (AOF) to child-resistant blister lidding, launching the new product in December 2014. Already available on pouch stock and stick packs, AOF allows users to access blister contents with a "targeted" push-through motion rather than the traditional peel or peel-push method.
According to Amcor, AOF allows the use of a 2-ply structure compared with a standard 3-ply. The product contact layer remains the same as that of existing Amcor blister lidding products, helping users to streamline testing.

Comprising omeprazole delayed-release capsules (20 mg), clarithromycin tablets (500 mg), and amoxicillin capsules (500 mg), the Omeclamox-Pak is the first triple combination medication indicated to eradicate symptoms of H. pylori in just ten days now available to patients, the company reports. Other treatments take up to 14 days.
