Perfecseal, a division of Bemis Company and global supplier to the medical device, pharmaceutical and diagnostic packaging markets, is pleased to announce it was awarded the DuPont Packaging Innovation Award for the design of the Wire Coil Clamshell for Arthrex Inc. The company's “Wire Coil Clamshell” innovatively overcomes the challenges the medical field faces in assembling suture passing wire.

Known for their distinct shape, stick packs offer end-users convenience and portability. Popular for food and nutritional supplements, the format is now being considered for a range of pharmaceuticals. At the pharma event Interphex 2011, Constantia Flexibles showcased a new feature intended to improve stick pack opening.
