Spartech Unveils High-End 'Green' Products

Spartech Corp. (St. Louis, MO) introduced three new eco-progressive packaging technologies, including for material replacement of PVC, at Pack Expo this week.

EnviroSeal is a series of patent-pending polyester-based materials that target material replacement as a “drop-in” solution for PVC packaging. The materials provide unique sealing characteristics for RF welding, bar and tear seal blister, and clam shell packaging applications. Suited for a range of packaging including for food and non-food products, the materials also include exceptional clarity, pre- and post-consumer recycled content, and FDA direct food contact approval.

Designed for optimal material replacement performance, the UltrosRenu line of sealable polyester-based materials uses premium based RPETG for consistent material performance and a material yield advantage over PVC. Product applications include blisters, clamshells, consumer products, and display packaging.
