Chuck Evanhoe has been elected to serve as vice chairman for the Board of Directors of AIM, the international association focusing on bar code, RFID, and enterprise mobile computing technologies. Evanhoe, who is president of Evanhoe & Associates Inc., has served on the AIM Board as the North America representative, and then was appointed to fill an unexpired term as a board member. Known in the bar code and RFID industries, Evanhoe is an active member of AIM’s ADC1 TAG and REG standards committees and served as chairman for the 2010 AIM Expo.

(Wood Dale, IL) has expanded its ability to support serialized DataMatrix bar coding on primary packaging with its recent purchase of Wolke Inks & Printers GmbH (Hersbruck, Germany). The Wolke m600 Advanced thermal ink jet (TIJ) printer is designed for printing on primary packages in pharmaceutical applications.
