The product line includes soluble film, single use pad, hydrogel and transdermal systems for delivering a wide range of active ingredients and drug types. These systems open up possibilities for customers to re-introduce established brands in new ways and thereby capture additional market share and consumer loyalty. For example, the innovative marriage of coating and converting technologies has opened the door to new market opportunities for products that deliver active ingredients in convenient, single use formats. An "active," such as a drug, vitamin, antiseptic or flavor, is combined with an appropriate hydrogel or water-soluble film. Both are available with specific properties to ensure compatibility. Some gels and films are highly attracted to water-based actives. Others have absorptive properties and can pull exudates from the skin equaling up to seven times their weight in water. Gels and films also have the ability to slowly release the active through passive diffusion, making the end product effective over an extended period of time. Available testing methodology confirms that the active is delivered at the required concentration, rate and composition. One step through an integrated die cutting press produces a single use patch, swatch or dressing. In-line web handling technology can precisely cut, stack and place the finished product in customized, hermetic packaging as needed. Tapemark has specialized in innovative converting for fifty years from its West St. Paul, Minnesota campus. Sales offices are located throughout the United States. www.tapemark.com/d_about.htm
