Speed to Market
Daily, PI works with medical companies in the development of medical device packaging and these customers need sketches, prototypes and production orders very quickly. On average, PI turns over sketches in 3.1 days, prototype parts in 6.1 days and production tooling/parts in 4–6 weeks.

Our vertically integrated systems provide a wide range of capabilities, including: Medical Package Design, Prototyping, Mold Building, Sheet Extrusion and Thermoforming.
Clean Medical
At PI, medical packaging is produced in our state-of-the-art ISO Class 8 cleanroom. Not only does this room eliminate environmental particulate matter, it is equipped with PI's own proprietary trimming equipment that eliminates potential angel hair and dusting without secondary part cleaning. These technologies are anchored by our ISO 9001:2000 certification and GMP programs producing a quality system that is unmatched in the medical packaging arena.
Medical Device Packaging
PI produces a wide range of thermoformed products for the medical industry, these include medical packaging for class I, II and III medical devices as well as biological and pharmaceutical packaging. The majority of products can be divided into three categories; trays, blisters and clamshells. Finished products include: sterile barrier packaging for implantable devices, surgical kit trays, unit dose packaging, WIP trays and point of purchase packaging.
