Package testing company Sepha Ltd. (Belfast, Ireland) put its BlisterScan technology on display at Interphex Japan, held last week. The product showcase debuted Sepha’s leak-testing technology to the Japanese market.
The BlisterScan platform can detect leaks as small as 7 µm in diameter in blister packs. It uses a nondestructive protocol that many U.S. and European pharma companies have adopted in lieu of methylene blue dye testing.
A second machine on display was the Press-Out manual wide deblistering machine. It can be used in tandem with BlisterScan by removing contents from faulty packages on the production line.
