WellCare Targets Regimen Reminders Via SmartPhone App

WellCare Today LLC (Morristown, NJ) has released HealthAssist (sm), a medication adherence and health management application available on the iPhone and iPod Touch. The free application can be downloaded through the Apple apps store.
The application features CalendarAlert which provides users with a scheduled text reminder for each medication. RefillAlert prompts when prescription refills are due. With the HealthAlert feature, “condition-related” information is conveyed monthly with breaking news headlines, health management articles, dialogue forums or chat rooms, and clinical trial information.
EMRAlert provides an easy way to store and update a private electronic medical record. Users can type “healthassist” using the apps search function for quick access via the Apple apps store.
