Two Drugs Use Anderson Packaging’s Intuidose Format
Anderson Packaging (Rockford, IL) has started commercial production of two brand prescription drugs in the Intuidose compliance package from the AmerisourceBergen Packaging Group. A line extension of a pain management drug is packaged in the carded blister format after the drug gained new drug application approval. The packaging supports a reverse titration regimen.
The F-1 rated format has also been adopted for a starter pack for a drug for treating an over-active bladder condition. The customer had first launched the drug in a different compliance package, says Justin Schroeder, director, marketing and business development, Anderson Packaging.
“(The starter pack is) the most comprehensive compliance package we have done at Anderson. The customer moved to the Intuidose for its cost-effective and user-friendly features,” Schroeder says.
The package features four card panels for accommodating the blisters, a patient guide booklet, and a daily tracker. The fourth panel holds a 12-week plan and the patient insert. Using the Intuidose, patients simply push the tablets through the paper board backing from the blister side.
