Telatemp Highlights New Data Logger

Telatemp Corp. (Fullerton, CA) is featuring a new 16,000-point time/temperature data logger.

The PCT-IH-DLM is a self-contained module that simultaneously records both humidity and temperature during transit. The device is also tamper-proof, according to the company.

To retrieve data, the unit’s data recovery interface transfers information to a PC and the Telatemp software reads, displays, and graphs the temperate and humidity recordings over time. The company states that accuracy of 0 to 100% relative humidity is ± 3% and temperature accuracy from -20º C to 60° C is ± 0.5º C.

The PC Transit Thermometer system includes a self-contained, battery-operated data logger, a data recovery interface with a standard 9-pin connector to fit a PC serial port, and transit software for configuring the data logger and for data analysis and printing.

The software allows review of the data with options including time-stamped temperatures for an entire trip with noted minimum, maximum and out-of spec recording.

The software also allows pre-programming to start the recording at a specific time, in addition to starting with a key ring magnetic starter.  The logger can record at user-selected intervals from 1 to 255 minutes or 1 to 4 hours.

Housed in a rugged polycarbonate water-resistant case, the PC transit thermometer has a non-volatile “permanent” memory that, according to the company, assures all recording will be kept in memory, even if the battery is depleted or removed.

A secure password helps protect recorded data against unauthorized use, tampering, or duplication.  The compact unit weighs 2.5 oz.
