Symetix Offers Compact Inspection Unit

Symetix (Walla Walla, WA) is offering a new compact high-volume optical inspection system for verifying solid dose pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals. VeriSym occupies half the floor space of other bulk inspection systems with similar throughput and resolution. 

In a foot print of 38 inches by 120 inches including the vibratory feeder, the unit verifies product color, size, and shape at a rate of 1 million softgels or tablets per hour. VeriSym also removes defects and unconfirmed objects from the product stream.
 
Four primary inspection cameras are located above and below the product stream. The unit includes diffused lighting, and a close-coupled high speed ejector system. VeriSym offers the same throughput and resolution, and the same software, as the firm’s OPtyxSG. Product settings are stored in memory for easy recall via a GUI interface.
