Schubert to Showcase Blister Handling for Hoffmann La Roche at ACHEMA
This June 18-22 at ACHEMA in Hall 3.1, Stand G27, Gerhard Schubert GmbH will showcase a line configured to package tablet blisters for clinical studies for Hoffmann La Roche. The TLM packaging line prepares products in two different dosages and handles personal labeling. The patient kits are put together in shipping boxes based on the study and labeled accordingly, the company reports in a press release.
The machine can handle blisters, vials, syringes, and other products. The Hoffmann La Roche line in particular features transmodules, which are transport robots that are flexible enough to handle batch sizes as small as one. All data are provided and managed by a higher-level data control system (LMS), which communicates with the MES system from Hoffmann La Roche.
At ACHEMA, Schubert will also demonstrate a TLM picker line that keeps 300 syringes per minute in non-stop circulation. Controlled by the Schubert Vision System, the syringes are taken from a continuously running infeed conveyor, placed on transmodules and returned to the product infeed conveyor.
