Rexam Announces Safety Device For Prefilled Syringes

Rexam Healthcare has developed a fully passive safety device for prefilled syringes. With the Safe’n’SoundTM device, the syringe retracts automatically in the system after the injection is complete.
The device guarantees passive protection compared to a standard syringe as no user intervention is required after injection. The Safe’n’SoundTM platform is available for staked and luer-lock 1ml-long syringes.
Compact, light, and transparent, the device is designed to offer an increased ergonomic comfort. The device has only four components, a sleeve, a body, a plunger, and a spring, and works with both cut flanges and round flanges syringes.
