Research Firm Delves into Supply Chain Integrity

Axendia is inviting stakeholders in the pharmaceutical and medical products industries to participate in a survey on global supply chains. Increasing security and visibility along the supply chain have been under discussion by regulators and industry alike, so Axendia, an analyst and strategic advisory firm focused on the life sciences and healthcare markets, is gathering research for its study entitled, “Global Supply Chain Visibility and Security; Business Necessity, Regulatory Imperative.”

To share your perspectives on methods for gaining visibility, control, and security of global supply chains, visit this link to complete a short survey (approximately 10 min.). The survey will close this Friday, July 16th. In consideration for their participation, all respondents will be eligible to receive a complimentary copy of this Axendia Research Report.

This research study is co-sponsored by Camstar Systems (www.camstar.com), IBM (www.ibm.com), and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (www.pwc.com).  These companies are supporting this research to increase the understanding of processes and systems that enable global visibility and transparency across the life sciences value chain.

Axendia points out that the Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator (IPEC) recently recommended that FDA mandate the use of electronic track and trace for pharmaceuticals and medical products in an effort to secure the Global Supply Chain. FDA is currently working with industry stakeholders as well as international regulatory partners to identify and implement measures aimed at increasing global supply chain integrity.

The results of this study will be presented in a report detailing current and best practices in
Global Supply Chain Visibility and Security in Life Sciences. The research report will include tables
and charts supporting research findings.  Axendia will conduct the study research, analysis and
report, and retain full editorial control.
