PMMI Certified Trainers Offer Instruction at the CI-Vision Vision Institute

Mettler-Toledo CI-Vision has established the CI-Vision Vision Institute (CVI) to provide enhanced training for its machine vision systems. Trainers certified by the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI) will provide both classroom and hands-on training on the basic technology, effective application, and proper maintenance of CI-Vision machine vision inspection systems.

Troy Farkas is directing the CI-Vision Institute. Farkas has more than 18 years of experience in the packaging industry with an extensive background in molding, machinery, and plastics. He is a PMMI-certified trainer as well as engineer.

According to a press release, "courses are designed for students with varying levels of experience and skill, ranging from production line operators/users to specialists/tuners and experts/trainers." To meet specific needs, the company will also work with customers to design customized specialized training.

Training is conducted at the Mettler-Toledo CI-Vision facility in Aurora, IL. Class size is usually 6-8 participants, and each course generally last three days. Larger companies that may have multiple inspection setups and/or a large operator staff can arrange for on-site training at their own facilities.
