New OEM Ink-jet Controller Board Introduced

Nutec Systems (Lawrenceville, NJ) has launched a new OEM ink-jet controller board from APS Germany.

In addition to allowing packaging equipment manufacturers to integrate an HP-cartridge-based coding solution directly into the host machine via DIN rail mount, the new board allows the use of APS’s solvent-based ink for nonporous substrates as well as water-based ink.

The OEM ink-jet controller board features a real time operating system that allows printing of dynamic 2-D codes and text for upcoming track-and-trace and mass serialization guidelines.

The board is designed so that the ink-jet keyboard can be displayed directly on the host’s machines HMI/GUI via Ethernet ActiveX control software. The company states that the new board can communicate with all vision system platforms via robust error checking interface protocol.
