Kammann USA Unveils New Screen Printers
Published: December 23rd, 2009
Kammann USA (Geneva, IL) is offering the K 15-CNC family of newly designed rotary indexing screen printers. The printers combine the high printing speed possible with a rotary indexing machine with the flexibility provided by CNC-controlled movements.
Up to eight printing heads can be used for the decoration of cylindrical, conical, oval, and flat plastic and glass bottles, cups, crème jars, cartridges, and plastic tubes. Speeds of up to 5.400 cycles/hour are supported as variable article and screen movements are controlled by servo motors and CNC-axis.
All contant movements are electronically controlled and therefore adaptable to specific needs. Screen stroke, article rotation, and squeegee movement are automatically adjusted when storable data on article parameters such as diameter, taper, radius, and print image length are input via touch panels.
The article is fixed in single-capture tooling for traveling through all printing stations. This enables decorating with multi-color patterns in perfect color-to-color registration without the need for register mark or register lug.
The K 15-CNC series allows for 360 degree printing of rounds, ovals, and three-dimensional shapes. Square articles can be turned for printing all sides at one pass.
