Italian Pack Tech Firms Form Network For Growth Focus
Published: December 11th, 2012
Italian packaging and processing companies have joined to form a network with a focus on emerging global markets. “Processing&Packaging: The High-Tech Italian Way” is founded by five leading companies in processing and packaging technology.
The newborn network was established to reinforce Italian companies’ business in foreign markets and increase the attractiveness of the “Italian system” in connection with new sales channels in rapidly growing economies.
Ipack-Ima Spa will handle the network’s operation and management. Ipack-Ima Spa is the organizer of the eponymous international exhibition that takes place every three years at Fiera Milano.
The Italian companies have vied with their German counterparts for first place in exports, generating about 90% of total proceeds, and have built an excellent reputation in the international arena due to their technological abilities and manufacturing flexibility, Ipack-IMA said in a press release.
“The High-Tech Italian Way” offers an extensive portfolio of integrated technological solutions designed to provide international buyers with a full suite of products and services, thus strengthening individual businesses and exploiting trade events as a promotional springboard on emerging markets. Between 2013 and 2015, the network should strike agreements with Italian public institutions supporting promotional activities as well as with key international organizations and trade exhibition organizers, Ipack-IMA said.
The founding companies of the network are: Mario Ronchi Spa, based in Gessate, a maker of filling machinery for detergents, cosmetics, chemicals, food, and pharmaceuticals; PFM Group from Torrebelvicino, Vicenza, comprising nine companies specializing in food and non-food packaging; P.E. Labelers Spa from Porto Mantovano – Mantova, a maker of rotary and linear labelers; Clevertech from Cadelbosco Sotto, Reggio Emilia, a manufacturer of automation systems for packaging and packing plants; and CAMA Group from Garbagnate Monastero, Lecco, a manufacturer of full production lines and secondary packaging machinery.
“We joined the network with strong conviction right from its foundation. The network system ensures great flexibility and enables us to join forces in order to be successful on emerging markets, which are still quite complex and challenging for individual companies to face on their own”, says Gian Mario Ronchi, chairman of the network, and owner of Mario Ronchi Spa.
“We chose Ipack-Ima Spa as operational leader of the programme in light of the growing importance of exhibition organizers, which are increasingly representative of the technology industry and today are capable of gathering a large number of companies and, consequently, a comprehensive technology offer”.
“Ipack-Ima’s commitment in this initiative is consistent with our philosophy to act as global partners for our exhibitors, supporting their internationalization efforts through our worldwide network of contacts with key packaging players including associations, trade literature, and event organizers,” said Ipack-Ima CEO Guido Corbella.
