Foster-Miller Rebrands As QinetiQ

Foster-Miller Inc., the technology and product development company, has announced it has completed more than four years of cobranding, and is now officially called QinetiQ (pronounced “kinetic”) North America (QNA). Acquired by QNA in 2004 as an independent wholly owned subsidiary, Foster-Miller is now part of QNA’s Technology Solutions Group, with headquarters in Waltham, MA. 

“We are excited about the enhanced capabilities available to our customers created by the expansion of the talent pool Technology Solutions Group [TSG] represents,” says Edward Goldman, senior vice president, TSG group.
 
TSG consist of more than 800 engineers, scientists, and support staff, qualified in the areas of biomedical, mechanical, and chemical engineering, genetics, microbiology, optics, psychology, robotics, and zoology. The group includes 200 software programmers.
 
In addition to Foster-Miller, TSG includes Planning Systems Inc. (Reston, VA), Automatika and Applied Perception (Pittsburgh, PA), Spectro Inc. (Littleton, MA), and the research and development activities of Apogen Technologies Inc. (San Diego, CA).
