Filling Stick Packs

Pharmaceutical contract manufacturer and packager Pharma Tech Industries (PTI) has added a Ropak Stik Pak 10-up S/N 307 machine to form, crimp, fill, and seal stick packs. The machinery can produce up to 600 stick packs per minute across 10 lanes.

“Stick packs are one of the fastest-growing packaging solutions in the over-the-counter pharmaceutical market, and this new equipment allows our customers to capitalize on this,” reported Tee Noland, PTI director of business development, in a statement.

The Ropak Stik Pak 10-up S/N 307 employs servo-driven dosers with on-screen fill-weight changes, monitoring and adjusting dosing as needed. An adjustable dosing system enables operators to change dosing-specific tooling without additional, non-related tools. A color touch-screen console displays product recipes, defines operating parameters, and allows for full system control.
