Eriez Showcases Detector Systems At PackExpo

Eriez has unveiled at PackExpo Las Vegas the new Xtreme Metal Detector. The unit surpasses previous units and competitive models alike with enhanced features, improved sensitivity, intuitive operation and exceptional reliability, the company said.

“Our field sales engineers and their customers played a vital role in the development of our new Xtreme Metal Detector,” said John Klinge, product manager—metal detection. “They gathered crucial information from their customers about what they want and need in metal detection equipment. We designed the Xtreme Metal Detector to exceed these demands and expectations.”

Made for light industry applications, including chemical, food processing, packaging, textiles, pharmaceuticals, plastics and rubber, the Xtreme Metal Detector boasts a completely re-designed and user-friendly interface. Highlights include full QWERTY keyboard, robust auto set-up, dedicated reject log and vivid display. “We modeled our interface after today’s stylish and advanced smartphones,” Klinge said.

Also at the show, the company officially launched the new 76 Series Vibratory Feeder, the largest unit in the company’s line-up of compact vibratory feeders. The unit offers the same features and benefits of existing models in a supersize design to meet larger application requirements.

“Some trays are too heavy for existing models and it is not always practical to use multiple drives,” says Rob Yandrick, product manager—vibratory/screening. “The 76 Series Vibratory Feeder offers a solution and fills a void in the market. It satisfies larger application requirements and enables increased overhang. There is nothing else quite like it available today.”

According to Eriez, the introduction of the 76 Series Vibratory Feeder is a direct result of input from customers and sales representatives. “Listening to customers and responding to their unmet needs through the development of new and innovative product s gives us a competitive advantage and helps us maintain our leadership position,” explains Yandrick.

Among products the company is also featuring, the E-Z Tec DSP Metal Detector Conveyor Systems offer protection against ferrous and nonferrous metal contamination. The units are competitively priced and available for quick shipment, typically 1-2 weeks after receipt of order, the company said.

Each system comes with variable speed control, food grade polypropylene (plastic chain) belt, stop belt reject and combination beacon and horn. They are available in three belt widths and various aperture heights, depending upon the model.

In magnetic separators, items in the low-cost ProGrade series of magnetic separators are available at three different degrees of magnetic strength, enabling professionals in diverse industries to choose the ideal level of protection for their specific application. Eriez offers ProGrade Ceramic series, ProGrade Rare Earth series and ProGrade Xtreme series.

“This line of affordable magnetic separators is designed for use in multiple and varied industrial applications,” says Bill Dudenhoefer, manager--separation. “Most items are in stock and ready for quick shipment, keeping you up and running to maintain profitability.”
