Customers who want to witness first hand the effectiveness of X-ray technology can submit product samples for testing and receive an instantaneous analysis from Eriez (Erie, PA). Testing is undertaken at Eriez’ Technical Center in Erie where application tests numbering in the tens of thousands on all types of materials and processes have been conducted since 1964.
The laboratory features more than 100 types of permanent magnetic, electromagnetic, vibratory, screening, metal detection, and X-ray systems. Customers can submit raw bulk material or products already packaged for testing. Once a product is submitted for X-ray testing, a number of evaluation steps are involved to determine the machine’s ability to detect miniscule contaminants within the sample.
