Catalent R&D Director Joins Alsace Biovalley Board of Directors
Julien Meissonnier, director of R&D for Catalent Pharma Solutions in Beinheim, France, is appointed to the Board of Directors of the Alsace BioValley, the cluster for life sciences and healthcare in France. BioValley is a unique tri-national network of French, Swiss, and German contributors, serving as a gateway to biobusiness development in Europe by bringing together and supporting the collaboration of public and private enterprises. As a board member, Mr. Meissonnier will work to support Alsace BioValley in its efforts to continue driving growth in the life sciences by identifying and coordinating ambitious projects that will create employment opportunities in the region.

At Catalent, Mr. Meissonnier provides technical and scientific leadership for the development of delivery systems for poorly soluble drugs that lead to approvable regulatory dossiers. His responsibilities include early stage screening activities, developing products, scale-up and technology transfer, directing clinical supplies and supporting product launches. Mr. Meissonnier has 12 years of experience in pharmaceutical development. He received his Engineer Degree in Physico-Chemistry from the ENSI in Caen, France.
