Better Packages Acquires Crowell Business

Better Packages (Shelton, CT) has acquired the business operations of the Crowell Corp. Better Packages manufactures water-activated tape dispensers and carton sealers, offering the Better Pack brand of water-activated tape dispensers. Crowell produces water-activated sealing tapes, corrugated box tapes, and cold-seal (self-sealing) packaging materials.

The Crowell facility in Newport, DE, is a modern manufacturing facility, equipped with three coating/laminators. Founded in 1906, Crowell offers a complete line of tape products, including plain and reinforced grades in a full range of various strengths. Crowell offers complete contract converting services. Crowell brands such as Samson, Newport, Dolphin, Cro-Nel, Nyvel, and Super Seal are included in this acquisition.

Crowell and Better Packages will continue to operate independently in Newport, DE, and Shelton, CT, respectively.
