Access MediQuip Announces Recall Management Service For Implantable Devices
Published: March 18th, 2010
Access MediQuip LLC announced the release of the first centralized recall management solution for implantable devices. Until now, there has been no system or process available for managing recalls across all the touch points in the healthcare marketplace, the company said.
With the release of its enhanced Recall Management Solution (RMS), Access Mediquip has improved the notification process for implantable device recalls and increased the safeguards that are in place for patients, surgeons, and health plans.
RMS leverages an expansive data base of facility, device, and case-related information to identify potentially affected patients through a series of reactive and proactive processes. Patients who have already received a defective device, as well as those scheduled to receive one, can be recognized.
“With the release of RMS, we are now able to provide benefits that extend beyond traditional cost management into the realms of quality and patient safety,” said Access MediQuip ceo Tim Hargarten.
