Flexo4all is a strategic alliance that combines expertise from independent companies, suppliers of the graphic arts, and the packaging printing industry. The Flex4all Web site discusses the advantages of flexography and features links to Web sites, such as those of Hispamerflex partners and Drupa partners. More recently, the Web site has been updated to include an alliance video presentation, which is hosted at YouTube. The members of Flex4all work together in partnership, sharing their experience and knowledge to perfect flexographic packaging printing while also promoting the advantages and innovation.

MEDEC

MEDEC, the national association representing the medical technology industry in Canada, has launched an updated and improved Web site to make MEDEC and medical technology information more readily available to members, industry partners, and the healthcare community. MEDEC worked with Paralucent (Toronto, Ontario) to develop this new site. The site’s architecture was devised with the user in mind, carrying a more user-centric layout and feel. The improved site has improved bilingual capability, improved navigation pathways, Web 2.0 functionality, self-service tools, and quick links on every page. A newly added wiki—a collaborative Web 2.0 tool—will allow members to comment on draft industry documents and position papers. In addition, there is a new content section featuring the top five issues confronting the medical technology industry in Canada. Users will have enhanced navigational access to information on the organization’s Value of Technology program, MEDEC events, the ePULSE and PULSE newsletters, industry statements, and position papers.
