American Health Packaging
American Health Packaging has updated its Web site to better target the hospital pharmacy customer. Customers have asked American Health Packaging to allow them to quickly and easily be able to get to item numbers and NDC numbers. The new Web site features a quick search as well as an advanced product search feature. It will also allow customers to request a drop ship of any product not yet available in their local distribution center. In addition, the site features a “heavy footer” for navigation within the site, allowing the user to go from one inquiry to another without having to start back at the beginning.

The Web site is designed to allow users to quickly find the content they are looking for from the main page. For instance, the Medical page details the thin and heavy gauge forming capabilities of the firm’s ISO 9001:2000 certified medical packaging facility, located just 30 minutes from Minneapolis. In addition to the Web site’s many new features, the graphic design and interface present a dramatic improvement compared with the company’s previous site. In the coming months, additional features will be added, and users will be able to join T.O. Plastics’ e-mail list by filling out a simple opt-in form from the home page to receive newsletters and information.
Minnesota Thermal Science
A Web site relaunched in July 2009 aims to showcase a new generation of thermal packaging products called Credo. Designed to be more convenient and engaging, the Web site offers solutions and advice for industries that require transportation of temperature-sensitive materials, such as blood, vaccines, tissue, organs, and clinical trial materials. The new Web site organizes content by different industries and subject categories; features Credo branding throughout; and offers the Credo Solution Finder, a tool that enables visitors to select the desired temperature range at which the product should be preserved, the duration of time for shipment, and the volume of the payload. This tool then customizes results based on the criteria entered. Visitors can also view and research the available products with built-in user guides and series sheets on each product’s profile page, use the “Engineer a Solution” tool to tailor their container to be effective in thermally demanding environments, and search for information about the new reverse logistics and leasing program services that the company now offers.
