Süd-Chemie Expands in United States

Return to Article: Modeling Moisture Control

Süd-Chemie Performance Packaging (Belen, NM, and Munich, Germany) is opening a new plant in the Northeast this year for increased production capacity for its injection-molded products. The facility will serve all of North America, producing customized injection-molded and desiccating polymers. It will handle canister injection molding and “more sophisticated injection molding capabilities that had been done in France,” such as that for customized tubes and bottle stoppers, says Mark Flores, marketing manager.

Süd-Chemie has formed a joint venture with PlasPaq SA to expand its injection molding business in Europe and globally.

In addition, the company is opening sales offices in India and China in support of “broadening international coverage for all our production lines,” Flores says.
