Show Coverage: New York City Welcomes Back EastPack and MD&M East

New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center will once again be the site for this year’s EastPack show, presented on June 13–15, and collocated with Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) East, the Atlantic Design & Manufacturing show, PLASTEC East 2005, and the new Automation Technology Expo (ATX).
The trade shows are presented by PMP News parent company Canon Communications llc and are designed to offer pharmaceutical and medical professionals a huge variety of new products and industry information.
The EastPack show will feature more than 600 exhibitors covering every aspect of packaging. Attendees will be able to meet with representatives from industry publications and associations, compare blister packs, bottles, cartons, pouches, vials, and trays, and gain important insights into today’s business climate.
In addition, this year’s EastPack will feature five special-focus packaging pavilions. The Medical/Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical Packaging pavilion will contain exhibitors showcasing the latest specialty equipment, medical-grade materials and supplies, disposables packaging, tamper-resistant/ evident containers, labeling and bar coding equipment, QA/QC, and testing, inspection, and sterilization services. Visitors to this pavilion will also be able to find everything they need for packaging vitamins and nutritional supplements. Processing equipment, packaging, labelers, contract manufacturing services, and quality control instruments for the nutraceuticals market will all be found here.
The Material Handling and Logistics pavilion will feature a full array of equipment, products, and services for material handling, automation, and logistics. Visitors will have the opportunity to view the newest conveying equipment, palletizers, racking systems, robotics, and warehouse and inventory management systems. Automation technology suppliers will display custom automation and assembly systems and equipment, instruments and controls, testing and inspection equipment, and a wide range of related services.
The Enterprise Technology pavilion will feature the leading suppliers of information technology for effective supply-chain management. Exhibitors will display a comprehensive range of software, such as the latest in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Advanced Planning Scheduling (APS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), warehouse management, and e-commerce.
Visitors to the Ingredients pavilion will be able to visit with the industry’s top ingredient and raw-material suppliers, product developers, brand managers, R&D managers, purchasing staff, process and packaging suppliers, and manufacturing/production managers.
A Cosmetic & Personal Care Packaging pavilion rounds out the show, giving EastPack attendees a chance to visit leading industry suppliers and service providers. Automatic Pouch-Handling System

A company will exhibit its automatic pouch handling system, designed to automatically take one or two premade pouches from a magazine, rotate for printing or label application, and then rotate to a pouch sealer.
