Lasetec II
A laser coding system prints letters as small as 0.050 in. or as large as 2 in. from a single printhead. Serialized and date codes may be changed automatically on the fly, and there is no need to change lens assemblies, masks, or jet heads when the package size or code is changed. A clean, precise laser beam is used to write the information on the product, and the entire system is software driven so the user can select the font style and size for each application with no change parts. The Lasetec II can print at any angle or orientation, allowing greater flexibility in package configuration and label design. Industrial Dynamics Co. Ltd., Torrance, CA; 888/434-5832;

Printers include software for laying out messages, text, graphics, and bar codes; and a thermal imager for producing disposable print film. Iconotech, Clinton, CT; 800/521-0194;
