Pharmapack 2009 will take place January 21–22, 2009, at La Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris. Now in its eighth edition, the two-day pharma-focused packaging event will focus on how innovative packaging and drug delivery can enhance patient health and product safety.
Jean-Claude Chaumeil and Claude Santini will give the conference’s opening address. Chaumeil is professor in the Faculté de Pharmacie, Université René Descartes Paris V, while Santini is president of the Académie Nationale de Pharmacie.
Throughout the two days, attendees will hear from a mix of product manufacturers and packaging technology providers. For instance, Catherine Blanchon, operations–supply chain quality management, Nestle Nutrition, will speak on packaging of clinical nutrition. Marylène Delaunay, clinical packaging operations, and Dominique Deldycke, direction département produits pour investigations cliniques, will speak from Sanofi-Aventis.
Technology speakers include professionals from B. Braun, Tekni-Plex, Disposable-Lab, MWV Healthcare Packaging, Körber Medipak Group, Faubel, CCL Label, Stelmi/Rumpler Technologies, Mikron Assembly Technology, Tech Group Europe, West Pharmaceutical Services, Bormioli Rocco e Figlio Group, Stevanato Group Glass Division, BD Pharmaceutical Systems, Ypsomed, Alcan Global Pharmaceutical Packaging, Klöckner Pentaplast Europe, Perlen Packaging, Constantia Hueck Folien, Global Vision, Advanced Track & Trace, Erich Pfeiffer GmbH, and Valois Pharma.
Pharmacists will also share packaging concerns. Among them is Isabelle Debrix, pharmacist, Hôpital Tenon, who will speak on drug-delivery packaging issues linked to compliance and traceability.
