Packaging’s role in advanced medical treatment will be explored at Pharmapack. Held in Paris February 6–7, the conference will gather nearly two dozen speakers and offer an exhibition.

“The need for reliable and efficient reconstitution systems in [the] case of lyophilized drugs and the need for convenient application systems like prefilled syringes have significantly gained market interest,” reads the description of “Innovative Packaging Technologies and Application Systems for Oncology Therapeutics.” The session is copresented by Mike Schaefers, vice president, marketing, Europe, for West Pharmaceutical Services and Freddy Zinger, president, Medimop Medical Projects. Christer Andreasson, CEO, Safety Syringes Inc., will address safety devices for prefilled syringes, while Philippe Laurent, MD, PhD, vice president, medical affairs, BD Medical – Pharmaceutical Systems, will discuss microinjection. Peter Seidl, director technical support, Schreiner-Medipharm, will discuss security labeling, and Ralf Kuenzi, business development manager marketing and sales, Ypsomed AG, will speak about pen-based systems.
