Packaging Resource Center: Show Coverage: The Bridge to Shanghai

The conference program will start with sessions on Chinese and international regulations and distribution on the first day, focus on design and materials on the second day, and conclude with a workshop on the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. On August 28, Yan Liang, senior engineer, Shanghai FDA, will lead a session on regulatory and quality following the morning session, “The Execution and Challenges of the Latest Regulatory Issues,” which is scheduled to be delivered by a representative of China’s State FDA.

The workshop on the U.S. FDA on Thursday, August 30, will include an overview of regulatory requirements presented by William Sutton, deputy director, division of small manufacturers, international and consumer assistance, CDRH, U.S. FDA.

The event will also feature two co-located pavilions. The PrecisionTec pavilion will feature solutions for China’s orthopedic, surgical instrument, and cardiovascular device markets, as well as machine tools and quality-control equipment. The Medical Plastics Processing pavilion will feature process machinery and custom molding for the Chinese disposable device market.
