Pharmaceutical Conveyor
A conveyor is powered by a standard variable speed brushless drive. The 30-ft long by 9-in. wide conveyor can include a photoelectric sensor at the end of the conveyor line so delivered bins can be held until they are ready to be packed. The conveyor can use a 110 outlet and features a patented snap link belting system. Each belt link snaps together to accomplish belt length requirements. Aside from improving productivity by letting the conveyor move the bins, the new system eliminates the receiving table by storing filled orders along the length of the conveyor, by having a photoelectric sensor mounted at the end of the line. Installing the conveyor can be completed in less than two hours with no stoppage of operations. The system offers a variety of sizes with belting from 6 to 30 in. wide by 3 in. increments and lengths from 2 to 60 ft with one motor. New Dispenser Sizes
A company is adding several new sizes to its line of dispensers. The additions include 20 and 40 ml sizes to its Micro line of dispensers and a new 100 ml size to its Mezzo line of dispensers. The new additions to the company’s Micro line, its smallest series, which has a dosing of 0.3 ml, brings the available sizes to 15, 20, 30, 40, and 50 ml. The dispensers in the company’s Mezzo line, which is larger in diameter and has a dosing of 0.8 ml, are now available in 30, 50, 75 and 100 ml sizes. Force Measurement Module
A new load cell is a plug-and-play force measurement building block. The RG smart load cell is designed for integration within assembly systems, weighing systems, and other process automation and testing automation applications. All functions are controlled by commands sent from a PC or PLC via its RS-232 connector. According to the company, the device’s ASCII command library allows for peak force recall, set points, data averaging, data filtering, calibration, and other functions. Side-Actuator
A company has unveiled an innovative side-actuated device for nasal drug delivery. The device is compact, ergonomically designed, and intuitive to use. It requires moderate actuation effort, and was designed to ease self- and third-party-administration, especially pediatric. Using the side-actuator removes axial nozzle movement inside the nostril when the actuator is pressed, eliminating risk of the nozzle entering the nostril too deeply. Valois Pharma France;

Oblong Bottles
A line of polyethylene terephthalate oblong-shaped bottles can be used for tablets, liquid, and powder. The bottles are available in 160, 250, and 375 cc capacities with a 38-400 neck finish. They can be molded in either clear polyethylene terephthalate or in a color of the customer’s preference.
